The personal stuff:

I’ve hurt my back so many times and in so many different ways, I know what you’re going through! (And luckily I know how to fix it too).

I was born and raised in Calgary, and I couldn’t resist the mountains once I’d completed my professional schooling in Toronto. I’ve been living and practicing in Calgary ever since. Recently, I’ve also been flying in and out of the Yukon to practice too!

When I’m not at the clinic, I love spending my time with family and friends. Some of my oldest hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, playing flag football, coaching junior sports, working with tools, and cooking. I love to try new things and my newer hobbies are constantly changing. They currently include beach volleyball, disc golf, gardening, trying new foods, cross-country skiing, prospecting, and walking my dog.

I’m trying my best to read more for pleasure, listen to new music and podcasts, and practice car maintenance ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The professional stuff:

“Dr. Giancarlo Carpino, DC, is a qualified and registered Chiropractor in the province of Alberta and the Yukon. He is in good standing with the Chiropractic College of Alberta and the Yukon government department of Professional Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.”

I studied human biomechanics at the University of Calgary from 2012 to 2016, and subsequently obtained my Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 2020. I am certified to use acupuncture needling as a treatment modality.

I’ve been in clinical practice since 2019, including working in a rehabilitation hospital, community clinics, and at a motor vehicle collision specialty clinic. I’ve regularly worked with professional dancers at the Alberta Ballet. I previously performed independent medical examinations at the North York General Hospital in Toronto in conjunction with Physiatrists, Psychiatrists, Chiropractors, and Neurologists. I have been involved in many pieces of biomechanics and clinical research, and am a published author in this field.
